In today's lesson we continue our end of chapter exercises, for our chapter Indirect Speech (also known as Reported Speech). This activity also completes the unit "Sentence Structure: Noun Clauses".

Reported (Indirect Speech) Speech and Noun Clauses
The sentences in the paragraphs below contains indirect
speech and noun clases. Locate the errors in grammar,
word order and sequence of tenses and rewrite each sentence
correctly. (Not each sentence is incorrect.)
(1) Some of us who live in the city do not understand
the beauty of the land. (2) Some of us don't
even care about how does the sun rise each morning or why do the birds sing
at dawn. (3) Some
people don't ask themselves how the roses get to be so beautiful in the morning
or how our food grows
from the ground. (4) And what about the stars in the sky?
(5) When you lie down on your back on a
dark night, you get to think about thousands of things.
(6) You wonder how can anybody travel into
space and why are there shooting stars for people to make a wish on!
